The run on Thursday was hot!
I did pretty well, and stuck to the pace I wanted, but kind of blew up at mile 12. Still, I finished. It was just hard.
I prayed a lot during this run. Prayed for the people I didn't know that I ran past. God gave me a prophetic word the other day. A blessing. Numbers 6:24-26. I soon realized the blessing wasn't just for me. But it was something I was being given to share with others.
I ran past a man sleeping on a rock under an overpass.
I prayed, "the Lord bless you, sir, and keep you. Make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you...even in your sadness and depression."
An elderly Chinese couple with their little granddaughter.
"May His favor, be upon you, and a thousand generations of your family and your children and their children."
A clearly-lesbian African American couple sitting on a bench in the park laughing and enjoying being together.
"In the morning in the evening in your coming and your going, in your weeping and rejoicing, He is for you. He is for you. "
And an elderly man who walked alone.
"May his presence go before you and behind you and beside you ALL around you and within you. He is with you he is with you."
Lord, I bless the people that I ran past today. I do not know them or their stories. But you know them. You love them. And you have blessings untold for their lives and their futures.
